Feeling dehydrated? #INSTACUPPA to the rescue. #SuperBloggerChallenge2018 #Instacuppa

In our day-to-day lives, we often end up consuming beverages that not only have an adverse effect on our health but are also continuously deteriorating us from within. Think of all the beverages or drinks that you consume in a day. Have you ever bothered to even check the ingredient label at the back of your soda can or your juice box? You probably haven’t. It’s not your fault. You are just not aware of what is happening today in the food and beverage industry. Hopefully, this will change after you’re done reading this article.

The beverages that you drink regularly are laden with harmful preservatives and additives that rack and ruin your health. These additives and preservatives are added to increase the shelf life of the food or beverage, or to add flavour or texture to it. All of this is done to make sure that the product lasts longer and tastes better, thereby appealing to a wide customer base.

BUT AT WHAT COST? The big companies are using harmful preservatives and chemicals to increase the shelf life of their products while completely disregarding the health of their consumers. All of this just to maximise their profits. By the looks of it, they are most certainly not going to develop a moral conscience about it any time soon. So, it is our own responsibility to be aware of the stuff that we put in our body.

If you ever find yourself chugging down a beverage of any sort, just check the ingredient label once. You will be shocked to find out the number of harmful preservatives and chemicals that are used in its processing.

This is what the ingredient label of a cold drink looks like.

Moreover, the number of calories that you consume as you go down on these beverages is the reason why you are not physically fit. Lack of awareness about nutrition is the reason behind the drooping health standards in India.

Thus, there is an actual need to address these issues.

So, what to do? How do you stop consuming these beverages and shift to a healthier diet?

  1. Start consuming all natural and organic drinks and focus on a clean, healthy diet.
  2. Drink lots and lots of water.

Studies have shown that people who drink 4-5 litres of water everyday are considerably fit and healthier than those who reside on drinks and beverages for quenching their thirst.

But you can’t just keep drinking water all day, can you? You must have tried it many a times and failed.

Believe me, we all have.

Thus, finding an alternative is an absolute necessity. This is where a revolutionary product comes in.

INSTACUPPA.

You’d be aware of what you put in your drink. You’d be aware of how healthy the infused water is that you’re drinking.

There might be a few similar products available in the market, but they are either imported directly from the US, thus having exorbitant prices due to the enormous shipping cost and custom duties, or it is just a bad quality product with plastic that contains BPA.

WHAT IS BPA?

BPA stands for bisphenol A. It is a chemical that is used in the preparation of polycarbonate plastics that are used to hold beverages. Moreover, it is also used as a coating on the inside of soda cans. Thus, it is safe to assume that the beverages that you are drinking are in contact of this harmful industry chemical.

There have been a lot of research on the adverse effects of BPA on our health.

Not only does it lead to an increase in blood pressure, but it is also associated with causing several other health problems in infants, children and even adults.

WHY CHOOSE INSTACUPPA?

  1. Instacuppa is designed for the sole purpose of bringing you the best quality environment friendly unit to cater to your health needs.

Merging – Social Media & Kitchen. #SuperBloggerChallenge2018 #Instacuppa

Gone are the days when kitchens in the Indian households were mere dwellings that supposedly confined the women within. Be it to cook for their families or their husbands, Indian women have been subsumed in the pre-conceived notions like “Women BELONG in the kitchen” or “Cooking – That’s for wives”. We have grown up in a society where, to this day, the majority of women have been discriminated against and often shown to the kitchen door and referred to it as “their place”.
Despite the Indian women being suppressed and narrowed into cooking, it is looked down upon by the society, if they do so professionally. So, the professional market belongs to the men?
5069de54f358780eeaec0df2c14afd23

A skit from the critically acclaimed movie English Vinglish. Of the recently deceased, highly renowned and revered actress Ms. Sridevi.
The skit exposes the mindset people have towards women and tries to condone it by planting a seed of reason.

With the onset of social media, the afore-mentioned mindset has been significantly challenged. Social media has provided us with a platform to showcase our talents in the kitchen and our rich culture that revolves around food. No matter where you are in the world, no matter what your ethnicity is, I’m sure that the mere idea of feasting on Indian food gets you salivating.
‘Incorporation of Social media in kitchens’ has served to be an industry disrupter. It allows anyone, from anywhere across the world to showcase their passion for cooking, or for food in general. Social media sites like YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM have allowed individuals to interact with a huge audience and have a considerable following.
Anyone passionate about food, wanting to showcase her/his talent and creativity in the kitchen can easily do so with the help of social media. It has allowed an average individual with raw talent to not only advertise her/his creativity in the kitchen, but even monetize it.
Many Indian women have grabbed this opportunity by the neck and have made the most out of it. Not only women, but men passionate about cooking, about food, have surfaced with the help of the wide-mouthed beast – The Social Media. It has allowed the suppressed to surface.
In this day and age, with the internet being at the pedestal of it all, anyone with a mobile phone and an internet connection can start interacting with the world through social media sites.
Many have taken to YouTube – The largest video sharing site in the world with over billion of views each day. Setting up a cookery channel on YouTube has never been easy. You just login, make a video, and post it for the world to see. Moreover, if you’re good at it, you’ll definitely get the much-awaited recognition and a huge following. One can easily monetize the YouTube videos and even earn money. Make it as a career or even a way to earn some extra cash.
Many channels of Indian origin have gained substantial following on YouTube by posting videos of the Indian food that they are passionate about.
Some of them are listed below –
1. Rajshri Foods – With over 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.4 million followers on facebook, Rajshri foods has shown the world, how women passionate about cooking with their roots engraved in the cultural Indian food, can serve to be an inspiration to other women working in the Indian households, and even worldwide.

2. Tarla Dalal – Another passionate Indian youtube channel flourishing under the guidance of Mrs. Tarla Dalal, with over 539,000 subscribers on YouTube.

3. Crazy for Indian food – A guy from a village who cashed on his passion for food by making videos of the food that he loves and posting them online. Has over 140,000 subscribers on YouTube. The perfect example showcasing the real power of social media. A guy starting his own Food tv network from a village, ends up gaining such a massive following on social media.

The three listed above are not even the tip of the iceberg.
  • Many individuals, both men and women, EVEN KIDS, have managed to achieve a great deal of success and a huge following through the power of social media.
  • Moreover, one can easily set up a facebook page or an Instagram page and start posting pictures and videos of the food they cook. With so much traffic concentrated on these sites, you are bound to get accolades from people around the world.
  • An individual can easily set up an online food catering business across all social media platforms.
  • Women, been cooking for a lifetime, can now earn some extra cash that is bound to ease off the financial confinements of the middle class Indian households.
  • The use of google adwords to drive traffic to your site or your food blog can multiply your online business by 10.
  • In the era of the smartphone and social media advertising, you could reach to a potential market of over a billion people spread throughout the world.

That is the power of social media.

Nowadays, even celebrity chefs are taking to social media to create awareness about gourmet food and the food that they like. Many international celebrity chefs like Gordan Ramsay, have their own YouTube channels where they teach the mad skills that they learned. Youtube link – Here
Social media has served as a great medium to reach and teach millions of people from the comfort of your own kitchen.
Many celebrity chefs like Mr. Vicky Ratnani have taken to youtube and set up their own channel posting videos about the food that they themselves are passionate about. Mr. Vicky Ratnani, on his YouTube channel has tried to post videos about his trips across the world showcasing the highest quality of local organic food available. He is on a mission to spread awareness among the Indian community about the importance of –
• Sustainability in kitchen
• Going green in the kitchen
• And most importantly, the usage of locally grown and available organic food in the Indian households.
He also joined F&B Asia as Director Culinary Strategy and development.

Celebrity chef – Mr. Vicky Ratnani

All these above mentioned points can be compiled and labelled as the Advantages of Social Media in Kitchens.
Again, to quote myself, Social media helps the suppressed and the unknown, with unprecedented talent, to surface. Moreover, it is not biased among the individuals, like our society. All women, men and children, from across the globe have an equal opportunity to take advantage of the being alive in the era of booming Social Media and internet.
The disadvantages of Social media, however, according to me is that you can learn all about different kinds of food, you can learn how to cook mouth-watering dishes, you can even find out the whereabouts of the food that you wish to devour.
But you just can’t taste it through your screen. Not yet at least. The technological advancements are not that “seasoned”. Pun intended.

Falcon Heavy all set to launch today

Flacon Heavy.  Image by spacenews.com

SpaceX’s most powerful rocket yet, The Flacon Heavy is all set to launch today , on 6th of February at 1:30 pm eastern time (12 am, Wednesday, Indian Standard Time). Disrupting the whole space industry with his company SpaceX, Elon Musk is about to launch a rocket to the mars orbit with his midnight cherry Tesla Roadster as the payload. The live stream can be seen on the SpaceX website or on Youtube.

This is a test launch and the rocket will lift off from the Kennedy Space Centre, launch complex 39, in Florida. It was also the launch pad for several milestone missions, mainly the Apollo mission or Project Apollo that sent humans to the moon in 1969.

The Falcon Heavy

Falcon Heavy

With its debut lift off in a matter of hours, it will be the most powerful operating rocket in the world. With the capability to lift a massive 141,000 pounds into the orbit, it can lift double the cargo than the Delta 4 Heavy which is the next closest operational vehicle.

The Flacon Heavy comprises of 3 Flacon 9 boosters that provide 3 times the thrust. These boosters are recoverable and reusable, which is the USP of SpaceX, thereby cutting down the space travel costs to a miniscule.

SpaceX founder and CEO, Elon Musk said, “Rapid and complete reusability is really the key to opening up space.”

Two of the three Falcon 9 boosters will return to the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, whereas the third one will return to a drone manoeuvred mobile launch pad in the ocean.

Each booster consists of 9 Merlin engines, thereby blessing the The Falcon Heavy with 27 Merlin engines that generate more than 5 million pounds or 22,819 kilonewtons of thrust at liftoff. It has the most thrust to payload ratio and is drastically cost effective. It costs a mere 90 Million USD to launch it to up to 8.0mT to GTO (Geosynchronous transfer orbit). This is considerably lower than the billion dollar government projects.

Falcon Heavy comparison

The payload

Tesla Roadster as the payload.

On being asked about his tesla roadster as being the payload of this test launch, Musk said, “It’s just for fun. A lot of people don’t understand the purpose of sending a car to mars. There’s no point obviously. It’s just for fun and to get the public excited. Normally when a rocket is tested, they put something really boring on board, like a block of concrete or a chunk of steel or something.  And that’s pretty boring. So let’s watch the most fun thing we could put on.”

The Mission behind SpaceX

The main goal of SpaceX is to make life multi-planetory. It aims at sending humans to mars and to colonize mars by 2022.

The video uploaded by SpaceX showcasing the Falcon Heavy animation can be seen – here.

All being said and done, this test launch might be the stepping stone to making human life multi-planetary. Do not miss out on the launch and be sure to watch The Falcon Heavy lift off today.

The OnePlus 5T Review

OnePlus 5T

Since its launch in India, Indian markets have been flooded with the OnePlus phones. They are sturdy, durable and good quality smartphones that do not cost you an arm and a leg. In November 2017, the company launched their best and most powerful phone yet, the OnePlus 5T. This model was launched just after a few months of the launch of the original OnePlus 5.

This phone can indeed be called the company’s best launch yet. Beginning at 32,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage model, the phone is a steal.
The OnePlus 5T supports a 6.01 inch HD display with full optic AMOLED in an 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 401ppi. This large screen makes gaming and the movie watching experience on the phone a complete delight. The larger screen as compared to the OnePlus 5 has been neatly accommodated by shifting the finger print scanner to the back of the phone. Talking about the fingerprint scanner, it is one of the extremely fast and reliable in the game. A new feature that has been added by the company on this phone is the face unlock feature. Unlike the iPhone X face unlock that is a fine amalgamation of the hardware and software of the phone; the OnePlus uses 100 verifications points to take a few seconds to unlock. This feature however can only be used to unlock the phone and reach the home screen and nothing else. This is because the company itself admits that it is not the most secure security feature.

The camera on the OnePlus 5T is something that the OnePlus family is extremely boastful about. The front camera supports a 16-megapixel camera, while the back camera has a dual lens of 16 megapixel and 20 megapixel. Unlike the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T does not have a zoom lens and the 2 times optical zoon feature. However, low light pictures taken with the back camera are way better than any other phone of the same price. The low light feature however does not automatically activate unless subjected to extremely dim surroundings. The portrait mode when used with the back facing camera gives you a wider frame as compared to the OnePlus 5, and gives shaper and finer results.

The physical dimensions of the phone, namely 156.1x75x7.3mm and 162g make it similar in weight and size to the iPhone 8 plus.
On using the phone for a while, it can be realized that the company has indeed paid close attention to details that increase the overall experience of the device. The notification slider on the side of the phone allow you to easily switch between three modes, the silent, do not disturb and loud.  The phone comes with customizable setting and allows the user to change the colors that are displayed on the phone. The inbuilt selection of wallpapers work well with the phone, making it look great all in all.
A plus point on the OnePlus 5 is the reading mode that makes long reading hours on the phone a great experience.

Another wonderful thing about the phone is that at its cost, it offers a variety of colors and types for the user to choose from. The two original colors are the midnight black and sandstone white with the black having a shinier finish to it. However, the company also launched two new models, the Lava red edition and the star wars limited edition. The lava red edition has a shiny red finish to it and is priced at 37,999 in Indian markets. Apart from the color, all other features of the phone are similar to the OnePlus 5T black or white edition.

The limited edition Star Wars edition supports a different color scheme and was launched at 38,999 as the last leg of the movie franchise was released and is for those die-hard star wars fans’. The phone is indeed strong enough to rule the galaxy. The color panels of the phone are customizable and that is what distinguishes it from the standard version of the phone. Some of these features are a star wars logo on the back of the phone, a red alert slider, 10 preloaded wallpapers and other features.

On an overall note, phone is an exceptionally good one as compared to other at its price, comes in a variety of colors, and most importantly, does not burn a hole in your pocket.

Un-“Branded” Alternatives

Suppose you promenade into a small garment shop to snap-up some new trendy garbs, and a splendid $80 tee at once seizes your interest. You are tempted to buy it but then prompted to immediately alter the decision. What has actually impelled so? – The very thought of shopping from an ‘unbranded’ store at a high price. What if you stumble upon the same in a branded showroom where rates are as soaring as $100. What is likely to hit your mind then?- ‘A brand is worth its cost’.
For some items, the thought might be true as brands never compromise with their excellence and so, they can be deemed vindicated for charging more; but you mustn’t always be so certain that others can’t offer the same at reasonable (or relatively lower) prices. In fact many a times, unbranded things can have more shelf life than the branded ones. Though it is apparently a rocky task to overthrow the belief that non–branded stuff cannot bid good quality, nonetheless, the following 5 reasons may better explain why they can be reckoned as a better option.
1. Rock-bottom Rates
The brands over-price their articles as they tend to capitalise from ones obsession to buy exclusively from them. The idea is to add more to their profits and maximise the gains. It’s never a challenge to get the same stuff among non-branded kiosks or sites who propose comparatively fair rates. In their desire to flourish in the marketplace and acquire as much market share as possible, they tend to become more customer-oriented and amenable.
2. Variety
Even though brands deal in diverse merchandise, they fail to provide range (owing to their public image of rendering specialised products only); and may fail to come with things  that are more unique. For instance, Reebok deals entirely in casual, fitness and sports items and doesn’t seem to deviate from it because that’s what it’s popular for. It is sure of having no dearth of customers. On the contrary, other garment and accoutrement stores will try to cover all arenas to attract and serve each and every kind of buyer, and you are bound of finding variety.
3. Personal Care
As brands are confident of getting buyers, they are least concerned to give attention to a particular customer or personally considering the choice of each of them. The staff employed will just execute the tasks of managing the showroom, displaying the products and billing, thus playing a minimal role. But from private shop owners and their staff, you can expect warmth and personal attention to help you choose best for yourself.
4. Fashion Fickleness
The era we are living-in is itself dynamic which consequently influences our mindset. Many people easily get bored with the accessories and clothes they buy and then they urge to frequently swap with something new. This is possibly due to change in preferences along with fashion trends. When so is the case, it is indeed economical not to go for expensive brands and rather shift to a more affordable alternative. And also, if you understand the worth of every penny earned, the thought of casting away a pricey thing will sting your heart.
5. Haggling
It is human frailty to wrangle for desired prices, and brands have preset market rates(unless they readily offer discounts). While in the private shops, one can expect cut down on prices when something seems to be overcharged. Bargaining is not by any means possible with the branded store.
So, the next time you find yourself in the dilemma of making a choice, contemplate on the above mentioned points and decide what’s best suited for you.
Here are a few sites/start-ups that offer much affordable alternatives to all your fashion desires.

The science behind losing weight.

70062_orig

There comes a phase in all our lives when we start gaining weight. Be it because of the never ending streaks of gulping down junk food, or the plight of sitting down at a chair all day at work without having to move a single muscle, our soaring weight hits us like a tsunami. During the initial stages, when we first notice our increasing weight, we often tend to be in denial and claim things like, “I’ve got it under control. This is nothing but a little baby fat. I could drop it in a week if I wanted to.” But I think we can agree that it’s never the case. Losing weight may seem like a daunting task at first, but once you get the hang of it, once you understand the science behind it, it’ll come to you as easy as baking bread.

Many are under the impression that if you want to lose weight, you need to starve yourself daily or spend countless hours at the gym. Let me assure you, that is not the case. Dieting and gyming are not the prerequisites to losing weight. Not only do you start resenting not being able to eat what you love, but once you give up, the relapse is catastrophic. You end up eating a lot more than you used to.

So, how do you lose weight? Let me reveal the science, that many are oblivious to.
It’s all about manipulating your caloric intake according to your goals i.e whether you want to lose weight or gain weight. The food we eat has a set number of calories. An apple that weighs roughly around 100g has 52 calories. On the other hand, a slice of pizza weighing the same has 285 calories.
An average person with little to normal physical activity requires a daily caloric intake of 2000 calories for her/his body to function properly. Most of us have a similar caloric intake requirement. But it may vary from person to person depending on weight, height and body size.

Let’s just say that you need 2000 calories a day. If you consume the said number of calories, you’ll neither gain weight nor lose weight. If you eat well over 2000 calories, you’ll be in a caloric surplus and you’ll end up gaining weight. However, if you eat less than 2000 calories a day, you’ll be in a caloric deficit and you’ll drop weight. It won’t happen overnight, but if you maintain a caloric deficit for a month or so, you’ll notice the changes.
But, being in a caloric deficit does not mean  that you starve yourself. 5 apples have 260 calories, whereas a single slice of pizza has 285. We both know that no one suffices after eating a single slice of pizza. If you eat 3 slices, you’re consuming a massive 855 calories from one meal. By the end of the day, you’ll have consumed way more than 2000 calories. That is why people don’t lose weight.

Thus, you need to put a hold on junk food, and fried food and shift to whole foods, vegetables and fruits, chicken, eggs, fish, lentils etc.
Also, inorder to lose weight, you need to maintain a caloric deficit of around 300-400 calories daily. This is the ideal range for losing weight without depriving your body of its needs.

Maintaining a caloric deficit is just a single aspect of the losing weight, the second pillar is working out. When you work out, you burn calories. Let’s say you consumed 1600 calories and you’re done for the day, but you feel hungry so you eat something and bring up your caloric intake to 2100. Now, you need to burn a few calories inorder to be in caloric deficit. So, you burn 300 calories in the gym or while doing any sort of physical activity like going for a run, or skipping. Now, you’re at 1800 calories, which means that you managed a caloric deficit of 200 calories that day. GREAT!!! Most people have a daily caloric intake of 4000-5000 calories eating everything from fried food to junk food to soft drinks. They are oblivious to it. You need to be aware of what you are putting into your body.

Thus, maintaining a caloric deficit and then engaging in any physical activity that helps you burn those extra calories is the crux of it all. A 3500 caloric deficit over a period of 2-3 weeks will help you lose roughly around a pound of weight.
You need to be patient and consistent.

If you want to track your calories, WHICH YOU SHOULD, there are a lot of free apps on both the Appstore and the google play store, but the one I’d recommend is My Fitness Pal. I found it to be the most user-friendly and easy to use. It’s used by everyone in the fitness industry and it’s free.
You just enter the food you consumed and you’ll know what it amounts to as your caloric intake.
So, fire away. Now that you know the science behind losing weight, be patient, consistent and conquer your demons.

The Advent of Social Media

PicsArt_02-01-02.21.27

When the wind of globalisation blew across the globe, it brought with it a gust of changes and advancements that no one in the 20th century had thought of; social networking sites. Etymologically, they can be described as dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests. With the arrival of the 21st century, these websites and apps have found such essential spots in our lives that we don’t even realise how much and how often we reach out to them on a daily basis.
With around 3.2 billion active users across the globe, these sites have become abodes for like-minded people to connect, talk and grow.

The world of Art, photography, and literature have significantly benefited from these platforms. Best selling poets like Nikita gill and R.H. Sin shot to fame on Instagram, with their words doing the talking for them. Art is no longer confined to the four walls of galleries and museums. Instead, it is easily accessible across the globe through the power of Internet. With new dimensions opening up every single day, the creativity of individuals is outstretched and spreading like a pandemic. The rise of WordPress and Youtube saw the birth of careers like bloggers and vloggers, content creators, and social media influencers. You no longer have to be a trained director or singer to show the world your passion for music or film-making. Social media transforms talent to be an ageless commodity. For anyone, anywhere, can initiate anything. There is something for everyone out there.

Not only this, the world of advertising has witnessed an overhaul. Millions of people can be reached with just one click; effortlessly. Not only have huge business houses had their share of profits, small privately owned businesses’ have also experienced a tremendous boost. Whether you’re selling graphic art or promoting your book, there’s definitely a demand for what you have to offer. Social Media has enabled individuals to capture and monetize that demand and make money off of it, maybe even build a whole empire.

The internet in compliance with social networking sites has given birth to a never seen before phenomenon; international community formation and solidarity. From the #metoo movement to the dreamers protest, from ‘times up’ movement to solidarity for climate change; these sites breed communities that fight for issues that plague the world, in any corner. It strengthens peoples opinions, backs them up with support and often forces governments to take notice of what these groups demand. The LGBTQ+ community is one of the most active group online, asserting and demanding their equal rights.

Politicians and governments are under constant scrutiny for their policies and moves, at all times. The general public is now, much more aware and active; thanks to the easy and quick coverage that sites like twitter and facebook provide. From statements to laws to reforms, your opinion here (online) matters. These platforms are often used to call out wrong doings or actions of organizations and companies that would otherwise go unnoticed. In a way, all of this is making the world a more connected place.

Not only political leaders, but normal citizens too, often become overnight stars when random acts of kindness or gestures of humanity are caught on record, going viral. In a way encouraging the global community to not lose the element of ‘being human’ that lies within them.

All in all, social networking sites and social media have completely revolutionised how we see the world and highlighted how different individuals perceive things differently. It has created a space that has no boundaries, no limitations and no restraints. One platform that brings 196 nationalities and 7.6 billion people together like never before.

The Time I Went To Dubai

Parag Iphone 517
Founded on 9th June 1833, Dubai is one of the seven emirates that form the United Arab Emirates. From being an uninhabited expanse of land to now, an opulent and sumptuous establishment, Dubai has cemented itself not just as a major oil producer, but also as the dreamland everyone aspires to visit at least once in their lifetime.
With its breathtaking architecture, spectacular skylines and lavish lifestyle, it offers a glimpse into the lives of the affluent and the well-to-do.
I went to Dubai wanting to experience the rich, intangible culture and the high and mighty way of living. Now that I’m back from my trip to Dubai, I can undoubtedly claim that I got way more than I bargained for.
Dubai offers a wild variety of recreational activities like –
• The desert safari
• Indoor skiing
• Beaches and sea
• Camel races
• Water sports (like the banana boat ride)
• Deep sea Fishing
• Dubai Creek Cruise
• Desert Motorcycle tours
• Dubai Dolphinarium
• Hot air balloon
• The infamous sky-diving over the largest man-made island in the world.
Not to mention the ever so vibrant tourist hot spots, namely The Burj Khalifa, the Dubai fountain, Burj al-arab hotel, Dubai marina and the Palm islands among many others.
Due to my limited time in Dubai, I was not able to experience every aspect that this city has to offer, but I did manage to visit the following tourist destinations.

Burj Khalifa

Earlier known as Burj Dubai, Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest building in the world. It has been the tallest building since 2008. With an architectural height of 828 meters (Tip – 829.8 meters) and over 160 floors, the view from the top is unparalleled. It also features the fastest elevator in the world.
You can book tickets for “At the top” (Tour up the Burj Khalifa) if you wish to explore the world’s tallest building. You can either get off at the 125th floor or at the 148th floor (if you pay extra).

Burj Al Arab

Standing atop an artificial island, 280 meters from the shore, Burj Al Arab is the third largest hotel in the world.
An architectural milestone, it is designed to resemble the sail of a ship. Self proclaimed as the only 7 star hotel in the world, it truly gives an insight into the lives of the wealthy.

Desert Safari or Dune bashing

This was the most exhilarating experience of my trip to Dubai.  Being known for its desert safari and extreme adventure sports in the desert, you can expect yourself to turn into a child while riding the sand dunes on Dune buggies, quad bikes or the 4 x 4 Safari Jeeps.

The Dubai Mall

Main Fountain, Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall is a massive establishment comprising of 1200 shops, a luxury hotel, 22 cinema screens and 120 restaurants and cafes. Another tourist hot-spot in the mall is the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.
The tourists keep pouring in and the mall is always flushed with diverse groups of individuals from all around the globe.

All in all, visiting Dubai was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I would suggest everyone to visit Dubai with friends or family. For it is with them that we want to build the memories that we can cherish for life.

Cushioned from the outside world, Chakrata is a secluded hill station, a stone’s throw away from Dehradun. Cascading waterfalls, especially the Tiger falls (having an elevation of 312ft) make this serene locale worth exploring.
