Rumana plays the role of her best friend, Rukul Singh, and helps Bhanu in all her attempts to get rid of her virginity. Her desperation begins to heighten further when a fortune teller predicts that this apparently easy task is impossible for her; and she would remain chaste forever. The chucklesome chaos begins when she decides to fight her ill-fate and live her dream of a perfect make-out.
As seen at the end of the trailer, when she finally gets a chance to get married and fulfill her sexual yearning, her bridegroom seems to be unexpectedly missing. All this introduces immense humor, fun and excitement. Does she really succeed in her endeavor and if yes, then how? Last seen in the movie Pagalpanti, Urvashi looks utterly gorgeous and fascinating in a new avatar. She had already surprised her fans with her bold look in Hate Story 4 and this time too, she has succeeded in astonishing everyone with her conservative yet presumptuous portrayal in this comedy-of-age film. Most known for his meticulous acting as a television actor, the handsome Gautam plays the role of Urvashi’s love interest, Arjun Pilli. His commendable acting skills and charming smile is sure to smite his female fans. Moreover, it’s his character – the hot looking, boy-next-door that introduces twist in the plot. The on-screen pairing of these two actors is in itself a unique and novel element besides the unusual storyline of the film.
This multi-starrer is a complete laugh riot, boasting some of the best comedians of Hindi cinema. The Kapil Sharma Show famed, Archana, plays the role of Urvashi’s mother and nails it again with her flawless acting and perfect comic timing. By what the trailer shows, she seems to portray a modern Indian mother who is concerned about her daughter’s fate as a virgin. The lovely Delnaaz is being seen after a long time on the big-screen and appears fabulous as a tarot card reader. Her dialogue delivery and comical facial expressions are a treat to watch. And with his candid performance, Brijendra also adds to the overall humor in this film. He was last seen in Ayushmann Khurana and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Gulabo Sitabbo (2020) and has received critical acclaim for his acting in Jab We Met (2007) and Dolly Ki Doli (2015).
What’s more interesting and surprising about this film is its concept that contradicts its own title. Although on the surface it appears to be a woman centric movie with a tinge of adult comedy, its makers actually strive to target the family audience; since it explores the bond and conflict of ideologies between the younger and the older generations. Sung by Dev Negi, written by Lohaan and composed by Saurabh-Vaibhav – the title track of the movie is peppy, humorous, amusing and apt. Sexual desires and fantasies are absolutely natural and one should never be ashamed of them seems to be the underlying social message of this movie.

There have been very few Indian coming-of-age movies from the female perspective, especially ones that talk about the woes of women who choose to remain conservative. Virgin Bhanupriya tells the story of one such girl. Bhanupriya Awasthi (Urvashi Rautela) is an only child of now-divorced parents and is trying her best to go on dates and lose her virginity as a result. Her best friend Rukul Singh (Rumana Molla) chooses to live her life promiscuously and continues to set Bhanupriya up with other guys, To know more watch it on the ZEE5 OTT player.
